30 Days of Fanfic Meme, Answers to 3 & 4
Jul. 11th, 2011 06:34 pm3 – For each of the fandoms from day two, what were your favorite characters to write?
My favorites when I first started Angel fandom were Spike and Wes, though it took me a while before I was able to write anything about Wesley that I felt was decent enough to post. His character is so incredibly complex and it changed so much over the arc of the series that it was tough to pin down which version of him I wanted to write about, or if I just wanted to make up another version myself.
As far as SPN fic goes, obviously I tend to write Sam-centric, as is obvious to anyone who's read anything I've written. Partly because I am a dedicated Sam Winchester fangirl, and partly because I feel like I can pick out pieces of his personality that help to shape a story in a way that seems natural.
4 – Do you have a "muse" character, that speaks to you more than others, or that tries to push their way in, even when the fic isn't about them? Who are they, and why did that character became your muse?
Honestly, in my Supernatural writing, my muse is very often John Winchester, though he rarely appears in any of my fics. However, since I feel like he's so much of what made Dean and Sam into who they turned out to be, I always think of his influence on them growing up when I write about who they are as adults.
