This week's open_on_sunday drabble

The theme for this week is "the show must go on". Shockingly enough, I have written something vagely resembling het. Don't be surprised if the sky falls once this gets posted.

He watched her move away from the bed and toward the place where her clothes were strewn haphazardly across the floor and over an upended table. She fetched her bra from underneath a broken chair casually and began to dress.

She was limping a little.

“I’m heading home, Spike. And don’t start with the whole ‘I don’t like you walking alone at this hour’ speech-y thing. We’ve been over it, and I’m not going to change my mind.”

“Of course, pet. Wouldn’t want anyone to see us together now, would we?”, Spike replied bitterly. “The show must go on, right?”

I like! I've always had a passion for Spike/Buffy and I haven't written anything in a long, long time. This was true to them, all carnage and disaster. Nicely done. Het works for me too!

Thanks. You really should check out the comm, sorry I don't know how to link to it but it's called open_on_sunday, a prompt is given every Sunday and you write exactly 100 words related to whatever that week's prompt is. It's a great exercise in getting a point across with brevity.
