I figure everything to say has probably already been said, but I haven't read any other posts about it since I just watched the show.
OK, so Garth, the slow-mo BAMF montage, all of that at the beginning of the ep - so much love. Never trust a big butt and a smile. It's excellent advice for anyone, and we should all be thankful to Bell Biv Devoe for sharing it. And yes, I know most of you were babies when I was shakin' my ass to that song at the high school dance after the football game while I waited for my boyfriend to get out of his shoulder pads and make out with me in the backseat of his mom's Ford Escort.
Anyway. I like Garth. There. I said it.
This week's monster was creepy and scary and our guys had to get inventive with finding a way to kill it. And they got silly and drunk. All of these are things that I love about this show and episodes like this remind me why I went head over heels into this fandom to start with. I know some folks weren't all that impressed last night. But this is what I started watching for - these two boys, intermittently dealing with emotional issues and angsty stuff while at the same time killing scary monsters. And that's what I got with this episode. So, excellent. I'm happy.
I knew the ghost Bobby thing was coming, and I was dreading it, and I did not like it. I think Bobby Singer had a proper send-off and bringing him back like that is not what I wanted to happen, but maybe they'll make something interesting and cool out of it.
So, I have no big flails or !!!!!!!!!s or ALL CAPS, I just still have all my love for SPN, whichever direction it ends up going :)

Date: 2012-04-01 01:27 am (UTC)I loved the Ghost Bobby and I wanted it to come and it did.. I think Dean needs to resolve his issues of loss by having ghost bobby there, to be able to actually say good-bye and not just lose the ones he loves completely for a change. You'll see it is going to be all good.
