Tara spied Xander and Buffy from the window, thinking finally, they’re making up. Willow was thinking the same thing, saying it out loud actually. Neither of them knew what was going on outside after Tara turned back to Willow, both of them smiling and happy.
They didn’t hear the other conversation.
“You think you can just do that to me? You think I’d let you get away with that?”
Still smiling, Tara was about to say something about how great it was, and then there was a hole in her shirt, and she was falling.
He had pulled the trigger.
